The Cuban Embassy in Spain, together with numerous solidarity associations, has prepared a shipment of medical supplies for Cuba, valued at approximately 300,000 euros and consisting of 1.3 tons of sanitary products.
The February First Movement, Cuban Corner Granma, Ernesto Guevara Solidarity and Cooperation for Development Association, Medicuba Spain, Workers’ Commissions of Madrid, United Left, Madrid’s Communist Party of Spain, and Cubans living in Spain were also involved in the project.
The shipment will be sent by air and will be received by the Ministry of Public Health in Cuba. The supplies will then be distributed to the western provinces that were affected by Hurricane Rafael.
The organizers of this solidarity gesture believe that it is yet another example of the strong bonds of friendship that exist between the people of Spain and Cuba.
