All the teams qualified to the second round of the V World Baseball Classic are already defined and the quarterfinal table of the American zone.
With the victories of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States on Wednesday during the closing of the group round, the match-ups – all to be played at Miami’s LoanDepot Park, except for the duel between Japan and Italy – have been defined.
This Friday, at 6:00 pm Cuban time, Puerto Rico vs. Mexico and one day later, on Saturday, the United States vs.
The winner between Venezuela and the United States will be Cuba’s opponent in the semifinals, first qualified to that stage after its 4-3 victory over Australia in the quarterfinals.
The other semifinal will be played on Monday, March 20, between the winner of the Japan-Italy match and the winner of the Puerto Rico-Mexico match.
