The Federal Security Service (FSB) has thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Bryansk region, the territory’s governor Aleksander Bogomaz said today.
As the senior official published on his Telegram channel on Thursday, the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group of 20 people tried to penetrate the territory of the Russian Federation near the village of Sluchovsk, located very close to the border between the two countries.
Bogomaz specified that units of the Russian Armed Forces, along with border guard troops, supported the FSB troops, and defeated the enemy. Previously, the governor reported that Ukrainian nationalists had bombed another settlement in the Bryansk region, and although no personal injuries were reported, 10 homes and a car were affected.
