The wife of American linguist, social critic, analyst and activist Noam Chomsky, Valeria Wasserman, denied rumors about his death on Tuesday.
Chomsky is currently hospitalized in a health center in Sao Paulo, Brazil, while recovering from a massive stroke he suffered in June 2023. Sources close to the family shared screenshots of Wasserman’s conversation on their social networks.
The associate researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), José M. Santana, circulated evidence of a dialogue with Wasserman through the instant messaging application WhatsApp, where he confirmed that Chomsky’s health is improving.
