The official Palestinian news agency Wafa today highlighted the march of thousands of Cubans in solidarity with the inhabitants of the occupied territories, following the new Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Organized by the Union of Young Communists of Cuba, the event was headed by the president of the Caribbean country, Miguel Díaz-Canel, the news media reported.
The participants walked along the central avenue of Malecón, where they chanted slogans in support of the struggle of the Palestinian people, it said.
Wafa indicated that the rally was also attended by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the secretary general of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba, Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, as well as officials from the Palestinian embassy in Havana.
