A group of Cuban companies presented the island’s tourism product in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, in an event supported by the Unique Cuba campaign.
The launch began in a hotel in São Paulo with music from the West Indies, and continued with presentations on the product by all the companies that included Cubasol, Cubanacan, Cubatur, Iberoestar, Meliá, Gaviota tour, Blue Diamond and Palmares.
Such promotions were supported by audiovisuals on large screens that provided essential information in the form of documentaries and photographs.
Multiple tourism options were offered, including leisure, nature, diving, culture, health, optional tours and bird watching, among many other modalities.
The authorities assured that the facilities are prepared for the start of the substantial increase in tourism to Cuba. Those present, including tour operators, various agencies and the tourist press, had the opportunity to observe the craft of a Cuban cigar maker twisting strands of the product.
At the end of the event, Ambassador Pedro Monzón, General Consul of Havana in Sao Paulo, also informed about the great Cuban Festival of Salsa that will be held at the Latin American Memorial on June 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.
