Cuban Supreme People’s Tribunal denies rumors about monitoring and surveillance of communications on social media

Fake news frequently circulates on social media, aimed at disorienting, creating insecurity, and unrest among its recipients; it also seeks to publicly discredit the official actions of state institutions.

On this occasion, it is being disseminated through these networks that the People’s Supreme Court of the Republic of Cuba will implement regulations establishing broad monitoring, surveillance, and recording of all calls and messages sent through the aforementioned media.

The People’s Supreme Court asserts that this information is completely false, and its content is riddled with lies and malicious deception.

In this regard, it requests that our people not echo the information contained therein and always inform themselves through institutional profiles and channels, where they can obtain reliable information about the work and powers of the People’s Supreme Court and other courts in the country.
