Cuban President remembers the legacy of leader Fidel Castro

Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today remembered the legacy of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of his birth.

“Congratulations Cuba, because on his 97th birthday, Fidel lives, inspires us, and compels us in the daily battle to achieve justice,” wrote the president on his Twitter account.

Likewise, the President of the National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, wrote on the same social media platform that fulfilling the concept of Revolution and always defending his work and legacy is the commitment to Fidel forever.

Numerous activities have been carried out throughout the country to commemorate his legacy, and all sectors of society have celebrated the date, as the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, in addition to being one of the most influential politicians of the 20th and 21st centuries, attended to every aspect of development with particular zeal.

Fidel was born in 1926 in Biran, the eastern province of Holguin, and with his thoughts and actions, he became a giant for the island and the world, with concepts and ideas that remain relevant to this day.
