Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated the Mexican political party Morena on the tenth anniversary of its founding and expressed his willingness to continue strengthening ties between political organizations.
Díaz-Canel highlighted on the social network X, that Morena, under the leadership of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is celebrating a decade of success focused on the welfare of the Mexican people.
The National Regeneration Movement Party (Morena) was founded in 2011 as a civic association dedicated to promoting democracy and defending Mexico’s sovereignty.
On July 9, 2014, the political organization obtained its registration before the National Electoral Institute as a national party.
Four years later, in 2018, it had its first victory in the Presidency of the Republic, led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The National Regeneration Movement won the presidency again this year with the first woman elected to that position: Claudia Sheinbaum.
