A training base in Pamplona, Spain, serves as a conditioning platform for the Cubans who will take part in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The spotlight of the international sports concert will be directed towards them, once the curtains of the Olympic Games are closed, and for that reason, 21 athletes and a guide of eight disciplines have been concentrated since July 27 in the aforementioned Spanish city.
Parathletics, with nine qualified athletes, is the main protagonist, not only because of the greater number of participants, but also because of their quality. Some of them will attend this time to retain their Tokyo 2020 crowns, such as multi-champion Omara Durand and long jumper Robiel Yankiel Sol.
Shooting para sport and parataekwondo each managed to secure three participants for the event, with the prospect of winning a medal.
This profitable window will be extended until August 21, when the Cuban delegation will leave for the venue of the Games and will take a seat in the Paralympic Village, where the last preparatory phase will continue before competing in the competition that will be inaugurated on the 28th.
