The Argentine Club of Journalists Friends of Cuba (Capac) highlighted on Wednesday the work done by Cuban media professionals and their contribution to the defense of popular processes in Latin America.
In a statement on the occasion of Press Day in Cuba on Tuesday, the Capac highlighted the relevance of revolutionary journalism for Cuba and the region, as well as its role in confronting permanent aggression from the United States.
¨You are the main resistance trench against the policies designed by Washington to attack the popular, progressive, and revolutionary camp, loaded with fake news and hate campaigns, in a media offensive both in social networks and in traditional hegemonic media¨, the text indicated.
You are the loyal followers of the thought of José Martí (1853-1895), who 131 years ago founded the Patria (Homeland) newspaper to disseminate the ideas of independence in Cuba and be a spokesman for “the necessary and humanitarian war.” We will accompany you in this battle of ideas until the final victory. Homeland or Death! We will overcome!
The document was signed by Capac President Stella Calloni and Secretary Alberto Mas.
