Cuban foreign minister congratulates Muslims on the end of the month of Ramadan

Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, through his account on X, today extended warm congratulations to Muslims in his country and the world, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the holiday that ends the holy month of Ramadan.

I convey my best wishes for peace and prosperity, mainly to the Palestinian people, victims of the Israeli genocide, the head of Cuban diplomacy wrote on the social network.

Eid al-Fitr is a festival marking the end of the month-long obligatory daytime fasting known for Ramadan to remember the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad.

It includes two or three days of celebrations with special morning prayers and the faithful greet each other with the phrase Eid Mubarak, which means Blessed Eid.

In various international scenarios, Cuba has expressed its solidarity with the Palestinian people and advocates for peace in those territories on the basis of the creation of two states, allowing Palestine to exercise its right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign nation within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
