With only a few weeks left to begin the next school year in Cuba, the Minister of Education, Naima Ariatne Trujillo, accompanied by other directors of the sector, are touring all the provinces of the country with the aim of assessing the guarantees for the start of the 2024-2025 school year.
From the eastern province of Granma, Trujillo recognized the commitment of the educators of this eastern territory, who, given the economic situation that the country is facing, are looking for alternatives to advance the training of students.
The meeting was attended by Alba Rosa Fernández, an official of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and the highest political and governmental authorities of the province.
Discussions were held in committees on: Improvement of Pedagogical Training, Political-Ideological Work System, Communication and Computerization, Implementation of the ERCE, Improvement of the English Language Strategy, Process of Admission to Higher Education, Transformation and Improvement of Technical and Professional Education, Economic-financial management, among other topics.
In the province, there is a favorable situation regarding teacher coverage, therefore, on September 2, 1,082 schools will open their doors to receive 118,987 students, a figure higher than the previous year.

The books for the first group are already available and the books for the second group of the improvement grade are arriving in the country. They will be available earlier than last year, providing methodological guarantees, constituting an important help for the family and the teacher in terms of the implementation of the III Improvement.
At the end of the exchange, the Minister of Education called on the Granma pedagogues to improve the training requirements with the objective of ensuring the success of the educational teaching process.
