Cuba to contribute to reaching peace in Colombia, says Díaz-Canel

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel considered it an honor for Cuba to hold a new round of peace talks in Havana and thus contribute to achieving peace in Colombia.

On Twitter, the Cuban leader posted that “our government is honored to accept the official request from the Colombian Government and the National Liberation Army (ELN) to hold the Third Cycle of the Peace Dialogues Table and also to contribute to reaching the sought-after peace for our sister nation”.

A note from the Foreign Ministry (MINREX) stated that “Cuba will make all efforts for Peace in Colombia. Consequently, Cuba maintained its willingness to continue as Guarantor and Alternative Venue of the Peace Dialogues Table”.
