The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, reiterated today the commitment to continue deepening the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between his country and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Through a message on the social network X, the president recalled the 76th anniversary of the founding of that Asian republic and expressed that Cuba joins the people, the Labor Party and the Government of the DPRK in the celebration.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also greeted the National Day of the DPRK and reiterated the invariable solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
In August 1948, the DPRK elected the Supreme People’s Assembly and on September 3, a new Constitution was promulgated. Six days later, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was proclaimed with Kim Il Sung as prime minister.
