Cuba today accused the United States government of trying to decide on its own the future of the Middle East, while Israel continues the genocide in Gaza at the cost of the death of thousands of Palestinians.
The island’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced on X that while this US policy persists, the Israeli army has so far murdered more than 37,200 Palestinians. He also pointed out that those who survive the indiscriminate bombings suffer conditions close to famine and malnutrition, mainly children.
The Cuban Foreign Minister recently condemned the criminal attack by Israeli forces against the displaced persons camp in Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, which left numerous Palestinian victims.
Likewise, in a previous tweet, the head of Cuban diplomacy specified that 90 percent of Palestinians today live below the poverty line, along with 37 million tons of debris from bombings.
The government of the Antillean island maintains a position of absolute rejection of the excessive military campaign undertaken by the Israel Defense Forces in response to an armed incursion into its territory by Hamas, on October 7, 2023.
