Computer application training developed in Cuba

The Scientific and Technological Park (PCT), located at the Cuban University of Matanzas (UM), is developing a training course on the management of the Sports Intelligence Suite computer application.

The course involves coaches and doctors from the Cuban sports system as well as PCT workers and computer scientists in charge of the application.

The deputy director of the Cuban Sports Research Center, Alfredo Quintana, explained that the tool seeks to create a database of all types of information related to preparation and competitive activity in its entirety, from the base to high performance, to the incursion into international events.

He added that analyzing the study of opponents, in order to create better coping strategies and monitor information, whether physiological, biochemical, psychological or the athlete’s recovery process, represent key aspects to be discussed in the program that will extend until tomorrow.

The application, divided into three subsystems, will be applied in 12 disciplines in Cuba although so far, boxing is the first completely integrated sport.

Sports Intelligence Suite enables real-time analysis of aspects linked to the athlete’s training and behavior in different situations associated with their sports discipline.
