The president of the Cuban Olympic Committee, Roberto Leon Richards, received at the headquarters of that institution the new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China on the island, His Excellency Mr. Hua Xin.
The dialogue confirmed the purpose of strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the National Olympic Committees of both countries, and led to an exchange on the opportunities offered by the producers of clothing and sports equipment of his nation.
Hua Xin recalled that Cuba’s Olympic history began in 1900, three decades before that of China, and emphasized the rank of its athletes, to whom he wished success in the event under the five rings that begins on July 26 in Paris.
