China leads Paris 2024 medal tally

On the fourth day of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the medal tally is led by the People’s Republic of China with a total of 13 medals (6 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze), followed by Japan with 12 (6 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze), followed by the French hosts in third place with 16 medals (5 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze).

Rounding out the top 10 were Australia (5 gold, 4 silver), South Korea (5 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze), the United States (3 gold, 8 silver, 9 bronze), Great Britain (2 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze), Italy (2 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze), Canada (2 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze) and Hong Kong (2 gold, 1 bronze).

From the South American region, only Brazil is among the top 20 with a total of 3 medals (1 silver, 2 bronze).

At the moment, Cuba has no medals and is ranked below the top 40 while waiting for medals in events such as boxing, judo, and wrestling, which are likely to bring medals to the Cuban delegation.
