Díaz-Canel presides over Party analysis in Granma

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, heads today the Extraordinary Plenary Session of the Provincial Committee of the political organization in Granma.

Evaluating the treatment given to the indications and recommendations of visits made this year to 5 municipalities; as well as the work to correct distortions and boost the economy, in the midst of the complex national and international situation, are among the main objectives of the meeting.

Also present was Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the CC-PCC.

The debates focus on the evaluation of the party guidelines for strengthening national unity, improving ideological work, political assurance of the measures approved by the National Assembly of People’s Power and the correction of distortions to boost the economy and rectify negative trends in society.

Yudelkis Ortiz Barceló, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Granma, presented updated information on internal life, the state of party militancy and cadre policy.

For further analysis, the leader also details what has been done and how much is still missing to materialize results based on the priorities outlined by the highest leadership of the country.

The session this Thursday at the theater of the University of Medical Sciences of Granma, in this city, continues a cycle of Extraordinary Plenary Sessions that began at the beginning of this month in Pinar del Río and Artemisa, and will extend to the various provinces, to assess the progress of other key aspects, such as the strengthening of unity and the improvement of political and ideological work
