Cuban Baseball5 team announced for Pan American Championship

The Cuban Baseball5 team that will participate in the upcoming Pan American Championship to be held in Venezuela, where three tickets for the world championship will be distributed, was announced on Monday by the authorities of this sport.

The team from the Caribbean island is made up of world champions Orlando Amador (LHA), Lietis Nieves Arcia (SSP), Chakira Aspiazu (GTM), Bryandi Molina (LHA), Cristian Basabe (ART) and Claudia Lores (HOL), in addition to world champions in the youth category, Haila González (ART) and Yoel David Blanco (GTM).

Eros Bernal is the team’s Head Coach, Pablo Terry the head coach, Liorvis Savón the assistant coach and Javier Pérez the physiotherapist.

The second Baseball5 World Cup will be played from October 7 to 12 this year at the Central Harbourfront Event Space in Hong Kong with the presence of 12 teams representing different geographical areas.

According to reports, the Hong Kong Baseball Association will install two playing fields using SES Battle III, a new type of resilient rubber flooring, positioned as a high-end sports flooring for outdoor fields.

This material is environmentally friendly, resilient, flexible and has excellent shock absorption and sports performance.

The teams of Tunisia and South Africa for Africa, France and Lithuania for the old continent and Japan, China and Chinese Taipei for Asia have already secured tickets to the universal event.

The three teams from the Americas, one team from Oceania and a wild card are still to be defined.
