The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, today expressed fraternal wishes and congratulations to the Muslims of his country and the world, on occasion of the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
Through his account on the social network X, Rodríguez conveyed his best wishes for peace and prosperity.
Ramadan is the name of the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which believers must abstain from eating, drinking, smoking or having sexual relations from sunrise to sunset.
This year, the festival began on Sunday, March 10 and will last until April 9.
During that month, Muslims aim at growing spiritually and establishing stronger relationships with Allah. To that end, they pray and recite the Quran, making their actions purposeful and selfless, and refraining from lying and fighting.
