Cuba confirms 4th Conference on the Nation and Emigration

The 4th Conference on the Nation and Emigration will be held on November 18 and 19, in Havana, as confirmed on social networks by Carlos Fernández de Cossío, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.

He described the agenda they are going to promote as “adapted to current times, to the changes and reality of the world and of today’s Cuba, and to the process of economic transformation that is taking place in the country”.

Fernández said that a frank and constructive debate is expected, which helps strengthen Cuba’s ties with its emigrants. He highlighted that this is an expression of the unequivocal will of the Cuban government to continue deepening ties with its nationals abroad.

The meeting will also have a special meaning for young people, who, having been born in other countries, identify with, defend and love the nation of their parents and ancestors. According to Fernández, the Conference will be for them an excellent opportunity to get closer to their roots.
