Díaz-Canel participates in cultural show dedicated to Moncada 

With the presence of President Miguel Díaz-Canel and other high-ranking Cuban government leaders, a cultural show took place Tuesday evening in the main hall of the Heredia Theater in Santiago de Cuba, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks in Bayamo.

With the artistic direction of Osvaldo García and the presentation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Esteban Salas Conservatory, students of the José María Heredia Professional School of Arts, the evening also featured actors Maikel Eduardo and Dalia Leyva.

Other performers at the gala included concert guitarist Aquiles Jorge, the Madrigalista and Música Aurea choirs, troubadour Eduardo Sosa and soloist Zulema Iglesias.

The Santiago Ballet Company and the Septeto Los Guanches were also part of the artistic lineup, with works such as Rabo de nube, by Silvio Rodríguez, Créeme, by Vicente Feliú, and Cualquier lugar es mi tierra, by Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque.

Also present at the event were the President of the National Assembly of People’s Power Esteban Lazo, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, other leaders of the PCC and the government, mass organizations and guests of the people of Santiago de Cuba.
