Cuba advocates strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation with South Africa

Cuba expressed this Thursday its willingness to continue strengthening relations and cooperation with South Africa, in order to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry greeted the date on its Twitter account, and pointed out that both nations will continue working for the mutual benefit of the peoples.

The ties of brotherhood between Cuba and South Africa date back to the 1960s in the heat of anti-apartheid struggles, and on May 11, 1994 diplomatic relations were formally signed.

Both nations implement bilateral cooperation agreements in multiple spheres, such as health, education, public works, human settlements, infrastructure, science, information technology, among others.
