The Cuban Health Services Marketing Company (CSMC, S.A) presented at the International Tourism Fair, based in Havana, the potential of Cuba as a health tourism destination, valued today by its excellence and quality.
From its stand in the Morro-Cabaña Complex, the entity showed the island’s strengths in providing medical and wellness treatments, as well as its scientific and biopharmaceutical development.
According to Dr. Ileana Reyes, head of International Sales of the company, the combination of climate, flora and fauna, ecosystem conservation, years of expertise in medical sciences, progress in biotechnology and an excellent tourist infrastructure contribute to the comprehensive offer of the country for health tourism.
She explained that the proposal covers the well-being of the tourist and the prevention and cure of diseases, from hotel facilities, international health centers and clinics, with the help of health and tourism professionals.
The services are based on the promotion of national biotechnology such as immunological therapies for lung cancer and ophthalmological programs, including retinitis pigmentosa operations. In the same way, they include the treatment of addictions, diabetic foot and diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and neurological restoration, with significant results at an international level, based on indicators of recovery of lost capacities.
The company, within its broad program at FITCuba 2023, also exhibited its portfolio of services and opportunities for foreign investment in the health area and the call for the the FITSaludCuba 2024 International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair. It also organized the Wellness Tourism panel, with the presence of representatives of hotel chains.
