German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on Tuesday denied that now is a good time to discuss the issue of Ukraine’s accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
According to Pistorius, it is necessary to carefully analyze all aspects of Kyiv’s possible entry into the alliance. He stressed that the bloc cannot accept Ukraine simply out of a sense of solidarity.
Recently, the NATO leadership has repeatedly stated that it is not against Ukraine’s entry into the alliance. At the same time, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that one of the goals of the special operation is to prevent Kyiv from becoming a member of the military bloc.
